“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self”,- The Bhagavad Gita.

It’s not about good at something, it’s about being good to yourself. Anytime I think of yoga or practice yoga, this saying resonates with me!

Yoga was introduced to me when we was in high school. Although, I was athletic and always loved playing different sports like basketball and swimming, yoga was not really a part of my life and it only became a lifestyle choice for me in 2018. The yogic path has led me to a self-realization, soul and letting go of everything material and being present with myself in the moment. You can call me “urban-yogi”.

I believe, if you accept the path, wherever you are ready, mentally and spiritually, yoga helps you to stay relaxed in stressful situations, breath when you are depressed or suffer from anxiety. Not only, it helps you make healthier choices for your body and mind, it also helps you with choosing right thoughts, be better at your relationships, food choices and be kind to yourself in difficult times. It is not only about being flexible and building strength, it has helped control what goes on the inside.

Over all, yoga has done nothing but great things and taught me so much about myself and what is important to me. Namaste!
